Maria comes to us with a rich background in training, visitor operations and audience engagement.
Maria started her career in the visitor experience field at the Science Museum, London. Maria designed and presented science programs to teenage and community audiences across the UK, including extensive outreach projects. Maria has gone on to deliver numerous projects for clients such as BP, BBC, Siemens, Shell, TFL, Volkswagen, and Google in partnership with numerous organisations and museums across London, helping to connect the corporate sector with traditionally inaccessible audiences.
Recent projects have included running an award-winning volunteer program for 16-19 year olds at the London Transport Museum for London 2012 Cultural Olympiad; leading the operations for Google’s Web Lab exhibition at the Science Museum; and visitor operations planning and site management for the BP showcase and installations across the Olympic Park for the London 2012 Games.
One of Maria’s project highlights has been designing and implementing a visitor learning program for Mishkat, a new science centre in Saudi Arabia. Maria has continued this relationship, delivering advanced presentation skills training to their enthusiastic team. Maria was also an expert trainer in communication skills for the future managers of Malta’s first interactive science centre.
