Gaetan Lee has worked in the museum and science centre industry for 20 years. With KCA, Gaetan interprets scientific content into engaging media and shows.
Gaetan first started working at the Science Museum before becoming a freelancer where he has worked on many different aspects of exhibitions and programming. Some of the highlights include developing content for Game On (a video gaming exhibition), managing the adult-only science venue the Dana Centre and working up the Science Museum’s centenary programming.
Gaetan went on to become festival manager for the Cambridge Science Festival and then was part of the team who set up the Cambridge Science Centre. As it’s operations and events manager he had developed, coordinated and trained teams on a number of systems including gallery staffing, exhibition development, event programming, public relations and marketing.
In the past year Gaetan has delivered science shows for the Emirates Foundation and the Abu Dhabi Education Council Outreach Programme, Lema?. In addition, Gaetan project managed activity planning for the Shanghai Museum of Science & Technology, and has trained teams at the Etihad Museum (Dubai), Mishkat (Riyadh) and the Energy Exhibit (Al Khobar). He also co-managed the delivery of Kew Royal Botanic Garden’s first and second science festivals that engaged over 30,000 visitors, and has trained scientists at King’s College in science communication techniques.
