Working into KBW Design Ltd, we delivered turnkey operational solutions for four experiences across the Olympic Park.
Led by Sue Dixon, our team planned the operations in preparation for the London 2012 Games. We also managed their implementation. Our services included inputting into the operational design of the Fuelling the Future showcase, the landmark Walk in the Park experience and interactive installations in the Media Village and Athletes Village. We also produced the operational plans for these experiences, led on the recruitment and training of a diverse team of Facilitators, and took a ‘hands on’ management role in the Olympic Park to enable excellent visitor service. Maria Peters and Ashleigh King took the role of site managers, and Leila Chapman supported the recruitment and training of our friendly and enthusiastic Facilitators.
What we are perhaps most proud of is the impact the training and experience on site had on our Facilitator team. One of our Facilitators, Michael, says: “The training I received fully equipped me to carry out my role effectively. It was particularly useful that the training covered a wide range of information surrounding the wider Olympics and events, which allowed me to assist members of the public throughout the Olympic Park. The role specific training allowed me to feel confident in addressing any issues that should arise during my work. I learnt many valuable skills from my time at the 2012 Games and will always remember the experience as one of the most valuable, enjoyable and inspirational periods of my life.”
Our team also managed the content production for the spectacular Fuelling the Future showcase.
